jpex / experiment fieldbook

Independent resource / jpexlabs.com

A fieldbook for small digital studies.

Jpex Labs is an independent editorial title. It does not claim to be a research institution, commercial laboratory or product testing service.

The focus

The notebook helps define a question, preserve a baseline and make a meaningful variation visible.

No staff, clients, credentials or measured outcomes are invented.

Illustration and evidence

The examples are constructed visual studies. They show a changed relationship, not a result from an audience test.

Keep what can be observed in an example separate from a claim about user behaviour or performance.

The working record

A version log preserves the question and the reason for a change. It should explain the comparison without assigning a winner by appearance alone.

A useful outcome can be an unresolved point that needs a different method.

Using the guide

Choose a narrow question and the medium that fits it. Keep the limits of the study visible.

Use appropriate expertise and project-specific validation for requirements the study does not examine.
